Our History
In 1973, accountant Roger Lilley opened one of Plymouth's first 8mm sound film libraries. Since then, he has gained much experience in all gauges of film including professional 35mm and 16mm, as well as being an expert on 9.5mm and both Super and Standard 8mm.
In 1990, the cine film to video transfer division was launched and within 12 months Aarchive Film Productions, under the management of Roger's son Phil, had become Plymouth's largest cine film to video processor, catering for all gauges of amateur and professional film. With specially designed equipment, Aarchive Film Productions can boast that they can lead the field in domestic tele-cine due primarily to their 33 years of experience with films.
In 2001, Roger passed away, after a 3 year long battle with cancer. Phil still carries on the family business, having learnt everything he now knows from his father.
