The minimum cost to VHS or MiniDV is £25.00. The minimum cost to DVD is £30.00. |
The above prices include:
- VHS tapes or MiniDV tapes or DVD Discs and presentation box
- cleaning and repair of the cine film (if needed)
- full colour grading
- monitoring of the entire transfer
- return by Special Delivery postage (on orders over £60.00)
- Transfers to MiniDV and DVD include a free VHS copy (if required)
Additional Copies
If you require additional copies of the transfer the prices are:
- VHS Copy - £10.00 each
- DVD Copy - £15.00 each
We make a Digital Master for all DVD transfers and keep the master for a 30 day period, so if you require additional copies we can duplicate them without having you send anything back to us.
Quantity Discount
Quantity discount is available on large amounts of cine film. Please call or email for a quote.
Titles
Titles can be added to the DVD menu, up to 10 words per reel, such as 'The Smith Family 1955-1980' or 'The Wedding of Bill and Betty 1965'.
Please ensure that the titles you provide are spelt correctly before the transfer is undertaken.
Titles are £2.00 per reel. If no titles are required, the reels will be titled 'Reel 1', 'Reel 2', 'Reel 3' and so on.
Sound Cine Films
If your cine film has a sound track this will be transferred for free. Please make sure you inform us if there is a sound track before the transfer is undertaken.
Getting the reels in the correct order
If you are unsure of the order of your cine films, we provide a basic Editing Package.
We make a Digital Master of your cine films and title all the reels. We will then send you a VHS unedited copy for you to look through.
You can then make a note of the correct order of the cine films and then we will transfer them to the DVD (and a new VHS) in the correct order.
Since they are taken from a Digital Master, there is no loss of quality.
The charge for the Editing Package is an additional £30.00 on the transfer cost.
This only applies to transfers of 6 or more reels. If you have 5 reels or less the Editing Package is free.
Postage
All transfers are sent back to you via Special Delivery only. On orders over £60.00 this is included in the transfer cost. For orders under £60.00 the postage is an additional £5.00 on the transfer cost.
We are mail order specialists and advise you to send your cine film to us via Special Delivery. It guarantees a signature before 1:00pm the following day. Your local Post Office will be able to send any item via this service, just ask.
When your transfer is completed and ready to be sent to you we call you and let you know when it is being sent to make sure someone can sign for it. We can then arrange when it is convenient for you to receive the transfer.
